Camping Trip

So we had an awesome time camping out this weekend.  It was my first time under the south dakota stars and i loved it.  It was a good thing we put the air mattress under a tree too.  Those who didnt got a pretty good dose of dew this morning.  I wanted to give you the opportunity to share some quick highlights through comments.  It could be a quote from the weekend or a story from the weekend.  I know David Kovaleski has a pretty good quote!  Thanks for an awesome weekend!  I really had a great time getting to know you guys and also having a great group of adults making it such a good weekend.  Thanks to the Boens, Ali, David, Davenports, Ovy and Ivy you guys rocked the weekend!  THANK YOU!  Once it gets warm again, if it ever does in So Dak we will be going camping again!  You can count on it!

Ramon Trevino is here from York, PA and has been at work for the last few days.  The youth rooms are beginning to take full shape with the aroma of spraypaint.  This is not just paint on the walls but this the heartbeat of a man with a passion that comes through his art.  We keep saying that the walls will prophesy and we believe that.  It is Ramon’s heart that his paintings will bring inspiration, hope and healing to those that view them.  We have already given away two canvases over the past weekend that I know will bless those who view them day in and day out.  I am posting some more pictures for your viewing pleasure.  Let us know what you think.  You may find a few youth leaders on the floor praying or just high on paint fumes…. lol!

Permission Slip

Yo whats up my peeps.. sorry the graffitti has me talkin funny!  Just wanted to let you know that if you still wanna go camping please call us at the church and come with us.  It looks like its going to be a beautiful weekend to have some fun, find Jesus and cultivate some change!  Click the link for a permission slip.

YOUTH CAMPING TRIP

The Camping Trip is this next weekend and the details are ready to be released!!!

When:  Saturday meet at the church at 9am – Return Sunday Afternoon around 4pm.

Where:  Oakwood Lakes State Park (About 10 miles North and West of Brookings.)

Cost: $5 per student (covers gas and camp site fee.)  Parents are donating food.

What to bring:  Sleeping Bag, Pillow, Bible, Notepad, Pen, Clothing for activities that include… Hiking, Fishing, Disc Golf, Swimming (no speedos or bikinis, Volleyball, Football, Basketball, and any other activities we come up with.  Make sure to bring warm clothing.

NO YOUTH GROUP ON SUNDAY THE 21st!!!
